1:1 Technology Program

An Active Learning Experience

Valley Prep School, parents and Apple Computer, Inc. have partnered together to pilot the VPS 1:1 program, outfiting each 2^nd and 5^th grade student with a MacBook computer for use in the classroom and at home. Starting in the 2011-2012 school year, each student in all grades 2nd through 8th will be part of the 1:1 laptop program.

• Increases engagement and student retention in the classroom.
• Promotes 21^st Century learning skills such as: higher level thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration.
• Provides opportunity for each student to reach his/her potential through activities tailored to individual learning styles.
